I've heard that junior year is the worst, most difficult year of the four, at least at my high school. But after surviving through one week of it, I can say that it's not too bad. It, and all the preparations for it, have taken up waaaaay too much of my time lately, but otherwise I think I'll live.
The first day of school was funny because the only class I walked out of and thought, "Wow. This class is going to be hard" was Art. I realized that it would help to know how to draw, something I'm not too good at. But over the last three assignments we've been given this week, I see that it won't be that bad after all if I keep several good erasers handy.
It's going to be a crazy year. I don't think it's really hit me that I'm now considered an "upper-class woman" yet; after all, I've accidentally gone down the stairs to my old locker twice already. This year will have junior rings and AP tests and a whole lot of other things I haven't done before, but that sounds more fun than terrifying to me!
So that's all for now, Caster People. The big bad textbook (which really is enormous) calls. I'll keep my eye out for more new things to do and draw, and we'll see how it all turns out.
Hey everyone! I am officially all moved into my college dorm at American University (AU) and started classes on Monday. I am majoring in either Biology, Psychology or Anthropology and I am enrolled in the Pre-Medical Program. So right now I am taking classes required for Med School, and getting my General Education requirement out of the way. :)
If anyone is looking for colleges I suggest looking at AU. It is a medium size liberal arts college in Washington DC, with lots to offer. It is nice not to be in huge school because NOT just a number and every class is taught by professors, not TAs. AND living in DC is AWSOME!
For more information go to: http://www.american.edu/
Anyways: In this move across the country (from LA to DC) I learned a lot about what is needed in the residence halls, and I thought I would share it with all of you.

Hi all! I know I haven't posted a music tuesday for two weeks, but now I'm back! And today I have the RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS!

I love the Red Hots, they are one of those bands that can just get you through some of your worse days and be there for all the good days. Their songs range from just all out rock and fun to the deep and thoughtful. I've followed the Red Hots since I was little and first heard their Suck My Kiss song which to this day is still my favorite song of theirs. I've been lucky enough to see them in concert and they are amazing! Anthony Keidis the lead singer sounds exactly the same live as he does on the albums. Flea is amazing to watch live, he gives his all during the shows and doesn't stop.
If you are new to the Red Hots you should pick up their Californication album. One of their best and it pretty much sums up what this band is about.

Recently I was introduced to this series and I have to say it is amazing!!!! I have read all 4 books in the last 2 weeks and I cannot put them down! I'm actually really sad that there are only 5 books in the series.
The books follow the story of Percy Jackson who is half mortal and half god. It is how his life is changed when he finds out what he truly is and how much that means. The story is fast paced and it has a lot of greek mythology in it which is a big plus to me because I have always been intrigued by the stories of Zeus and the gods.
So if you are interested in Greek mythology and action you should definitely pick this books up! And even if you are not I am sure you will love this book. They are really funny and action packed and will keep you reading until the end. Fans of Harry Potter should pick this book up.
By the way they are coming out with a movie and you can see the trailer
