Just saw this great review from Mitali from Alley of Books and I have to say its one of my favorite so far! So sweet and I agree with all of it! Here is a little snippet of what she says:
"In all my 19 years, of all the vocabulary I have acquired, I don't think I possess the words that could describe how much I loved Beautiful Creatures. Of the meager words that I have under my belt, the ones that I would use to convey the feelings I felt while reading BC and well after I was done would be limited to OMG, that was fan-freaking-tastic and I need more stat!. I am about to die of excitement. This is one of the most amazing books of the 21st century that I have read."

Margie: I identify more with Ethan. He’s a pleaser, he wants to keep his friends and do the right thing by everyone. But inside, he knows he’s different, he knows he needs to step out of himself and not be afraid to be the person he really is, even if that means rocking the boat. I always felt like that growing up.

Since Beautiful Creatures is set to be released this Tuesday there have been reviews already written on certain blogs. I thought I would share them with whoever reads this blog, just in case you are still on the fence.

I know some people cannot read a book while listening to music but in my case I usually have to be listening to music as I am reading. There is something about music that calms me and really blocks the rest of the world out so I can fully concentrate on what I am reading. I know it sounds impossible but it really works for me.
Certain books have their own atmosphere and sometimes the characters have their own music selection which helps me envision that atmosphere better. If I have the band that the character likes I will usually make a playlist for that book. Recently I have a playlist with Gogol Bordello and the Pixies and Wolf Parade etc because of a book I am reading at the moment. It really helps to open up the world of a book if I have some sort of playlist to go along with it.
Books for me not only open up a new world for me but sometimes they also introduce me to new music or sometimes I end up re discovering a band such as the Pixies and Gogol Bordello. So my question to you is do you listen to music while you read? If so what do you listen to? Do you have a playlist already set up for reading?

Beautiful Creatures is being shipped out and hitting bookshelves as we speak. This is a very exciting time for Kami and Margie as well as for us Caster Girls. Its it will be amazing to see BC personally in a bookstore and I cannot wait to encounter my first BC sighting. Some people have already seen it at some bookstores around the country. If you by any chance see it anywhere send us a picture and let us know where your location is. We have had a NY sighting, a Atlanta sighting as well as some LA sightings. We are interested in seeing all of your BC sightings pictures. Share with us! You can post them on Gatlin Community, and also sign up while you are there. Its a great community where we can all discuss the book and other topics about the book.

So I'm on a lunch break from my training and I figured I would post a new music pick for today. I was listening to a bunch of stuff on the plane but the one band that stood out the most was Carolina Liar.

If you haven't heard of Carolina Liar you should really start downloading some of their songs. They are a great mellow band to listen to on those days where you are a bit anxious or nervous because they will soothe your soul. Their lyrics are poetic and the music is hypnotizing. It's also one of Ethan's favorite songs and so anything Ethan loves I love.
So check out their video HERE for their song Show Me What I'm Looking For. It is a beautifully crafted song that will really capture your attention. And if you haven't checked out Ethan's playlist you need to go over to the Beautiful Creatures blog and check it out!
