I noticed today while talking to a friend who’s reading my copy of BEAUTIFUL CREATURES that there are plenty of quote worthy snippets inside. So I was wondering what some of your favorite quotes might be…
My fave quotes are all from Amma’s smart, southern mouth that have a little spike of wit.
We were thinking of some different actresses to play Sarafine, but we couldn’t decide. So we are asking for your help! Who do you think should play Sarafine in the movie? Or do you have someone else in mind?
Help us decide and we have a special something planned for later! Ooooh, secrets!

Thank you to all the bloggers that are giving Beautiful Creatures such wonderful reviews. I have received more reviews from some other wonderful bloggers. The bloggers over at Robots & Vamps has reviewed Beautiful Creature and this is what they have to say:
“Beautiful Creatures is refreshing entry into the young adult supernatural genre. The authors stepped outside of the norm making the young man the head-over-heels in love mortal. And it was nice to read something from a male point of view. So often we get caught up in the mind of a young girl, we don’t think about what the young man might be thinking. The story steeped in the tradition of the deep south, adding a sort of down home charm. It is wonderfully written and the characters seem as though they could come to life right off of the pages.”
Our friend over at the Tainted Poet also had a review on Beautiful Creatures. Here is a little bit of it:
“First off, I LOVE how the book was told from Ethan’s POV, rather then Lena’s. This is what separates the book right off from most other paranormal love stories. Reading Ethan’s raw emotions really made this story real to me. It was what kept the pages turning. While I do love reading from the girl’s POV, this was a change that I really needed. Something refresing, yet familiar all at the same time. “
Now we have an interview with Kami and Margie conducted by YALSA Blog. Here is a snippet:
YALSA Blog: Between two authors and multiple stories (Ethan’s and Lena’s, plus the secrets they uncover), how did you keep track of it all?
Margaret Stohl: Massive white boards. Color coding. A shared office in my house. Two libraries. Two editors. An agent who reads like an editor. A family genealogist. A thousand cases of Diet Coke. A million post-its. And our Caster Girls, the teens we originally wrote the book for, who still read what we do and keep us real.
Kami Garcia: The characters are real people to us. So their problems and their secrets are real too. It’s like asking how we remember the things that have happened to our best friends –their happiness and heartbreak or their flaws and fears.
Go on YALSA to check out the rest of the interview.
Also, Mindful Musings had some wonderful things to say about BC. She’s a picky reader so we’re thrilled she enjoyed it!
“The writing is absolutely gorgeous–some of the best I’ve seen. It’s been awhile since I’ve felt that the setting has jumped off the pages and dragged me into it.Beautiful Creatures does all that and more.”
Enjoy and remember to contact us if you see anything BC related.
