Kami is currently in Memphis, and if we guess right, we would say if she’s not at an event, she’s finding the best BBQ in town. We are kind of jealous of that, but excited for all the people that get to see Kami tonight as the Smart Chicks Kick It Tour Begins.

What is next for you?
The third book in my series with co-author Margaret Stohl, Beautiful Chaos, is coming out on October 18th, and the final book in The Beautiful Creatures Novels will release fall of 2012. I recently sold the first two books in my solo series The Legion to Little, Brown. UNBREAKABLE (Book 1) will release in fall 2013, and the film is currently in development with producer Mark Morgan (THE TWILIGHT SAGA & PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS). I am also an active producer on the film, which is exciting.
As many of you know, Kami and Margie are helping to organize YALLFest. YALLFest 2011 will bring twenty top young adult writers from all over the country to historic downtown Charleston, S.C., for two days of seminars and panels. Events at the College of Charleston, Fri., Nov. 11th, and Blue Bicycle Books on Sat., Nov. 12th.

What were you like as a teen?
I thought I was a rebel, but really I was a giant dork. With blue eyeshadow and fabulous free-standing 80’s hair.
What were your favorite books as a kid?
I was the head of the Susan Cooper, Dark is rising fan club at my school. We met under the stairs. In High School I was a Jane Austen snob.

A girl is searching for her boyfriend and comes face to face with a ghost who is haunting Red Run Road. The story has a nice and unexpected twist when the ghost turns out to be something else.”
Bewitched Bookworms … When I first heard about this anthology half a year ago, I already knew this would be high up on my to read list. And I was not disappointed!
The Book swarm … I wasn’t expecting to like the stories in ENTHRALLED as much as I did. Sure, there are some absolutely fabulous authors who contributed to this anthology (including Kelley Armstrong, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Sarah Rees Brennan, Rachel Caine, Ally Condie, Kimberly Derting, Kami Garcia, Claudia Gray, Melissa Marr, Jackson Pearce, Mary E. Pearson, Carrie Ryan, Jeri Smith-Ready, Margaret Stohl, Jessica Verday and Rachel Vincent), and I knew I couldn’t go wrong — there was sure to be something I’d like. But I ended up liking pretty much everything!
