Books with Bite … What I loved most about this book is the great plot line. So much going on in the book that is kept the reader hooked and always sated. Never once did my eyes stray from the pages as I devoured it. I enjoyed that while the plot line is unraveling secrets, poems, and love popped up where I never saw it. Both authors once again did an amazing job on capturing the essence of the town and the characters!
Now for the ending. Did I see that coming? No. It was something that left me gasping and WOWed. I won’t spoil it, but yeah. Amazing ending that left me wanting more.
Beautiful Chaos is a completion of wonderful literature that had me in awe! I felt like I was in the town of Gatlin as soon as I open the first page, fighting the chaotic events unfolding between the pages. Filled with a great adventure of love and sacrifice, Beautiful Chaos will undo your mind leaving you yearning for more of Gatlin.
Tales of a Ravenous Reader … What stands out most about this series are the characters that breath life into this story; Ethan, Link and Uncle Macon being my favorite but in reality I adore them all, even the evil ones because they are what makes this tale fascinating and memorable. I have always enjoyed every book in this series but BEAUTIFUL CHAOS has surpassed it’s predecessors with it’s non-stop action and heart stopping romance and amazing plot twists. My only complaint I have is that I could not seem to stop the tears from flowing upon finishing this novel. I was a hicupping, bleary-eyed mess that was the most scary sight to see.
From the moment I began Beautiful Chaos to it’s tear inducing ending this book had my attention and I was it’s willing captive. Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl were able to create magic with this epic story through their perfectly executed, well paced and vividly descriptive talents. Their efforts are epic story telling at it’s stellar best and one could not ask for anything better in their reading pile. My life is richer for having had the pleasure of reading this novel and I highly recommend this series to anyone that has not been fortunate enough to read them.
Indigo … I received a copy of Beautiful Chaos a week early from HBG Canada, and I swore that I was going to take a few days and really savor it. Then I started reading and I didn’t stop until I ran out of book at 2:00 AM. It’s not that I accidentally read this book in a single setting that you should take heed of, it’s that after I finished I had to stop myself from going back and reading it again.
At the end of Beautiful Darkness, Lena claimed herself—choosing to be both Light and Dark Caster. But her choice has had serious consequences: The Order of Things is broken. Both the Caster world and our Mortal world are suffering—and the price of fixing them is going to cost our friends dearly.
Beautiful Darkness was the book where Ethan and Lena were separated. Because of that, Ethan built—or at least realized he had—a strong support group beyond just his Caster girlfriend. In Beautiful Chaos, Ethan and Lena’s relationship is more stable… and it’s Ethan’s support group who is threatened.
Involving his support group in the tension keeps me from feeling like I’m only reading about relationship drama. It’s also more realistic to me that as a character’s entire world changes and expands, those effects would also impact the people in his life. That’s a big part of why I love this series; it’s never been just about a boy and a girl.
Of course, as it is a teen novel there is a little bit of teen romance drama in Beautiful Chaos. Fortunately, it doesn’t overshadow the plot. There’s this amazing scene where Liv says to Lena everything I was thinking in Beautiful Darkness. It’s cheer-worthy! Also, I enjoyed how this book changed my mind about John Breed. I didn’t like him inBeautiful Darkness, but by the end of Beautiful Chaos I can say that he’s all right.
Another thing I appreciate about these books is that there are adults like Macon and Marion, who are cool and help the young adult characters. These adults don’t necessarily solve the problems for Ethan and Lena, but they remind us that we have people in our lives who care about us. (There are also adults who aren’t supportive, but that’s representative of life.)
As the penultimate book, Beautiful Chaos does feel a little bit like bridge between what happened in Beautiful Darkness and what will come in the final novel. I think the biggest factor in what gives me this impression is the book’s cliffhanger ending that you probably don’t want to reach at two in the morning. Let’s just say it’s hard to get to sleep when all you can think is how desperately you want to know what happens next.
Figment Blog …. I’ve always wanted to vacation in a supernaturally-charged town, but Gatlin, South Carolina isn’t my first choice. There’s record-breaking heat, swarms of locusts buzzing around, and devastating storms destroying homes and all the resorts I might have visited. Don’t even get me started on the family of supernaturals whose abilities are misfiring all over the place right now, threatening to blast my Coolatta out of my hand. Another reason why I won’t be spending my airline miles on South Carolina this week? The town of Gatlin requires a human sacrifice to banish the chaos. I think I’ll go to Florida instead and sip on butterbeer. But by all means, if you’re looking for chaos, Gatlin’s got it.

Novel Thoughts Blog …. I could go on and on about each individual character (Macon, Amma, etc.), but we would be here forever. I am just impressed by how much character development goes on into each book.
If I haven’t already made it clear, Beautiful Chaos is my new favorite book in the series. I am drawn in by the expanse of the story more than anything. I have true, unconditional love for this series and the two ladies that write it.
As an end note, I know that Beautiful Creatures is currently in the works for a movie deal, and I have nothing against that, but I see this story as much bigger than the silver screen. I think that the characters and the Caster world would fit perfectly alongside, say, The Vampire Diaries or The Secret Circle. Each distinctive in their own way, yet totally awesome! I doubt most of you would agree with me here, but I would much rather see this series developed for television where we actually get to see the character development and world-building that Kami and Margie put into the story rather than a quick two hour summary of the book.
What do you guys think? Would you be more excited for a television series or are you equally excited for a movie deal? Let me know in the comments, I would love to hear your thoughts!

Beautiful Creatures has been my favorite so far. Part of the reason is because Lena got me really angry in Darkness and I don’t know if any of the books will me able to beat my first wonderful impression of the caster world. That’s not saying I didn’t like Darkness because I did, a lot, Beautiful Creatures just will forever be one of my all-time favorite books.

I’d probably have to say Beautiful Creatures, because it was just so fun to experience the Caster world for the first time, and to unlock the secrets as Ethan did.

Beautiful Darkness. The underworld portion of the story was so vivid and intriguing that I had trouble putting down the book. And the element that John Breed and Co. brought to the story really shook things up. Every story is better with a little drama added in.

My favorite is definitely Beautiful Creatures.
