What book can’t you wait to read in 2012? Well, even though we will be sad to see it end, we have to agree with the great folks over at
Hollywood Crush put out their list of books to read in 2012, and the yet Untitled 4th Beautiful Creatures book has made the list.
Here’s what they had to say:
8. “Caster Chronicles No. 4″ by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl (Fall 2012)
How will it all end for Lena and Ethan? Yeah, we have no idea either.
Novel Thoughts Blog …. I could go on and on about each individual character (Macon, Amma, etc.), but we would be here forever. I am just impressed by how much character development goes on into each book.
If I haven’t already made it clear, Beautiful Chaos is my new favorite book in the series. I am drawn in by the expanse of the story more than anything. I have true, unconditional love for this series and the two ladies that write it.
As an end note, I know that Beautiful Creatures is currently in the works for a movie deal, and I have nothing against that, but I see this story as much bigger than the silver screen. I think that the characters and the Caster world would fit perfectly alongside, say, The Vampire Diaries or The Secret Circle. Each distinctive in their own way, yet totally awesome! I doubt most of you would agree with me here, but I would much rather see this series developed for television where we actually get to see the character development and world-building that Kami and Margie put into the story rather than a quick two hour summary of the book.
What do you guys think? Would you be more excited for a television series or are you equally excited for a movie deal? Let me know in the comments, I would love to hear your thoughts!

Enthralled is getting great reviews, which is no surprise to us! It is an amazing collection of short stories. Here are just a few of the EXCELLENT reviews …
Kirkus Reviews … At this point it’s probably pretty obvious that I love teen fiction. But it isn’t just the books that I love—it’s also the community. Enthralled: Paranormal Diversions is a perfect example of why.
Paperback Dolls …This is one of the BEST anthologies I have had the pleasure to read.
Bookhounds … Visit her site, as she breaks down each story. For instance for Kami’s Story she wrote, “Seriously, seriously creepy. A girl is searching for her boyfriend and comes face to face with a ghost who is haunting Red Run Road. The story has a nice and unexpected twist when the ghost turns out to be something else.”
Bewitched Bookworms … When I first heard about this anthology half a year ago, I already knew this would be high up on my to read list. And I was not disappointed!
The Book swarm … I wasn’t expecting to like the stories in ENTHRALLED as much as I did. Sure, there are some absolutely fabulous authors who contributed to this anthology (including Kelley Armstrong, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, Sarah Rees Brennan, Rachel Caine, Ally Condie, Kimberly Derting, Kami Garcia, Claudia Gray, Melissa Marr, Jackson Pearce, Mary E. Pearson, Carrie Ryan, Jeri Smith-Ready, Margaret Stohl, Jessica Verday and Rachel Vincent), and I knew I couldn’t go wrong — there was sure to be something I’d like. But I ended up liking pretty much everything!
Bulletin … In this anthology born out of a tour featuring multiple female authors (Smart Chicks Kick It), sixteen fantastical stories treat journeys of various forms.
We are giving away a signed copy of Enthralled on CasterGirls twitter. We will pick the winner at 8pm PST. All you have to do is tweet -

Page Turners Blog recently conducted an interview with Kami and Margie. You can read an excerpt below, but for the entire thing, HERE.
Stacey: All right. I have a two-part question to get my last two questions in. Are the gardening shears Link’s new, like, weapon of choice? I love that he has–he started off in Beautiful Dark with them, and then now he carried through into Dream Dark. And he’s cracking me up with the garden shears. And then also, what’s your favorite international cover you’ve seen so far?
Kami Garcia: I think the shears are definitely going to be a reoccurring theme. I equate the shears now to Indiana Jones’s whip. They’re Link’s Indy whip. How could he be without them?
Margaret Stohl: I think that he got them from failing bio. If he wasn’t in bio summer school, he wouldn’t have had those.
Kami Garcia: Right. So there is something to be said for having to take summer school.
Margaret Stohl: I think those shears are important. That’s Link’s mortality. It kind of prevails in his own mortal clod clumsiness. I love Link.
