I love the cresent moon. I would definitely put a cresent moon on Lena’s shoes; but personally, I’m part Cherokee Indian and I love feathers, dreamcatchers, and Native American Indian Designs. I would put sacred Cherokee symbols for protection on Lena’s Chuck’s. She could also use the dreamcatchers too! That and the quote “Love conquers all things; lets us too surrender to Love.” – Virgil
Dawn Richelle said:
To my above comment, here is a picture of a Native American Indian design (sand painting) which contains the following:
Mother Earth to enriching with health, bring good luck and fortune and heal the sick. The buffalo horns are for strength and protection; the eagle feathers are for wisdom, honesty, and happiness.
(This specific painting was done by Ernest Hunt, a Navaho Indian… They share some of the same symbols as the Cherokee)

Wow…This is just an awesome contest! Hmm…I think I would symbolize the cresent moon. Thats something I’ve always been drawn to and something indeed that is very beautiful. I love writing poetry and quotes about my life and the things I believe so I would write inspirational quotations. I love paramore, muse…so I would quote their songs. I would draw orchids. . . but draw them in a spiral pattern. With numbers in bold such as ’17′ the date in which is my birthday. It would have many symbolic patterns and shapes but would most..represent words. As i love writing..my mind is always filled with words and things to write and say which is why I keep a journal. So it would represent me and love for that!

People have mentioned this one already but I’d put a star & a moon (not like the ones on the site – I have this silver necklace: it’s a crescent moon with the word “wish” written on the moon and a star hanging from the top point of the moon… I’d draw that) and probably a short song lyric or two (like: “fear is the heart of love”). Or a quote I like (“Deja vu/Jamais vu”/”Le temps détruit tout – Time destroys everything”), music notes, little hearts and maybe some symbols I like the meaning of (Chinese, celtic, wiccan/pagan/whatever).

I’d write “sixteen moons” on it. I’d also add some of the lines that she wrote on her bedroom. Plus little moons and some stars on it. I’d make lightning bolts, too, since she’s a Natural. Plus a bit of milk-duds and popcorn. Also the words “Rock on, Lena” and “Keep moving on”.
Instead of/in addition to “sixteen moons” I might do “Sixteen moons…sixteen years” Plus, I’d add the following lines from the song (probably on the bottom). “Sixteen of your deepest fears” “Sixteen screams but just one hears” “Powers Bind what fire sears” “Claim or be Claimed…Shed blood, shed tear…Moon or sun-destroy, revere” and the entire last stanza (at the end of the book.)
I’d also write the Sanguinis phrase in both languages (blood of my blood, protection is thine/sanguis sanguinis mei, tutela tua est) but only once, not four times.
And the other chant said by Lena at the end (Cruor pectoris mei, tutela tua est, vita vitae…) in both languages.
